A youth-led African-Centered movement inspired by the global Fridays For Future ecosystem.
Climate action and environmental racism must be centered in our fight to defend Asase Yaa (Mother Earth), protect and heal her Waters, save and biomimic her Soil, conserve Nature and her resources.
@fridaysforfutureghana
Fridays For Future Ghana has worked diligently with a consortium of climate activists and
youth-led organizations to work towards
banning single-use plastic in Africa.
@fridaysforfutureghana
Across Ghana single use plastic items such as straws, cutlery, ear buds, packaging films, plastic sticks for balloons among other products are exponentially scaling the current harm to the planet.
A single-use plastic is an object made of plastic that is intended to be used “only once” before being disposed off or recycled.
How can you help and get involved

The goal of our movement is to put moral pressure on policymakers, to make them listen to the scientists, and then to take forceful action to limit global warming.
Our movement is independent of commercial interests and political parties and knows no borders.
We have hope that humanity can change, avert the worst climate disasters and build a better future.
Every day there are more of us and together we are strong. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is needed. No one is too small to make a difference.
